The FinTech Innovation Awards honour leaders in the quickly developing field of financial technology. In the cryptocurrency division, four awards were given out.
Celsius Network, a digital asset lending site, was named “best cryptocurrency wallet” at the fifth-annual FinTech Breakthrough Awards, a yearly festival that honours young businesses at the intersection of finance and technology.
Celsius is on a “worthy mission,” according to James Johnson, managing director of FinTech Breakthrough, to provide people with “more opportunities to gain financial freedom.” He continued, saying:
“We are thrilled to recognize Celsius for their success and momentum in this mission, serving as a true example of breakthrough technology in the FinTech space. We extend our sincere congratulations to the entire Celsius team for winning ‘Best Cryptocurrency Wallet’ for 2021.”
MoonPay was called the “best cryptocurrency buying site,” Bitstamp the “best cryptocurrency exchange,” and IPC the “best cryptocurrency information source” by FinTech Breakthrough.
Leadership, mortgage credit, business lending, asset management, personal finance, payments, savings, private banking, and financial analysis and data were among the other award categories. More than 3,850 nominations were received worldwide for the 2021 event. The introduction of cryptocurrency alongside these standard definitions demonstrates how rapidly the industry has matured.
Celsius Network had a fantastic year in 2020, with deposits, sales, and users both increasing significantly. The investing and lending network had paid out $250 million in cryptocurrency incentives to depositors as of February. According to reports, the platform has over 500,000 subscribers and holds over $10 billion in digital properties.
Celsius’ native CEL token is ranked 76th in terms of market capitalisation, with a gross market valuation of approximately $4.2 billion. The token is currently priced at $6.00, up 5.8 percent on the day.
