Over the past two weeks, the number of addresses containing more than 1 million XRP—a signatory of so-called “whales” with large wealth holdings—has declined by more than 8 per cent.

According to new data from Coin Analytics, as of yesterday, the number of addresses carrying the amount decreased from 1,705 as of 22 December to 1,562 as of Monday. On 22 December, Ripple and two of its top executives were fined by the U.S. securities regulator.

Many crypto platforms, such as Coinbase, Binance.US, OKCoin, and Bittrex, have moved to delist or suspend XRP trading.
