Marques Brownlee, a prominent Youtube influencer, told his 13.6 million subscribers that representatives allegedly offered him a deal to help Tron. He was asked to post a tweet about the TRX.
Brownlee reported that Tron’s representatives had sent an email stating how other celebrities had helped Tron in their Twitter campaign in the past. In the Youtube video, Brownlee revealed the email in question, which also included the names of four celebrities such as Lindsay Lohan, Ne-Yo, Lil Yatchy and Amanda Cerny.
We need not make it look like a “sponsored tweet”— Marques can openly make a remark on what he thinks of Tron in a tweet and post it.
According to Brownlee, the alleged “promotion campaign” was “so insincere” and “so tryhard.”
At the same time, Justin Sun, CEO of the Tron Foundation, refuted these accusations and dubbed the statements as rumours. He said that his company “is not involved in these activities” or that the Tron Foundation “is aware of the actors” behind the suspected promotion campaign.

According to Justin Sun, “transparency is key” and if any celebrities are paying to promote TRON, they are expected to report the promotion.
