Recently, CobraBitcoin tweets that some products in the market make people think that operating a full node is hard or that they will require some external hardware. In reality, running a node is not that hard. It was also added in the tweet that if you can operate a browser, then you may very easily run a node by downloading BitcoinCore and wait for it to sync. His response came from a Twitter thread. The user actually revealed that some people were selling ‘plastic shells’ to operate a full node for $200. He further went on promoting start9labs and said people could actually buy an actual node for $200.
These types of products only give the impression that running a full node is harder than it actually is, or that you need some special hardware. If you can run a browser, you can run a node; just download Bitcoin Core, wait for it to sync, that’s literally it. https://t.co/vCPf1k1D5z

What Is Full Node And What Is Its Function?
The full node is one of the main components of the Bitcoin interface. The main function of a full node is to confirm transactions and blocks of the network. It is basically a program and works as a relay system. It receives a transaction from another node and then validates it and then again passes on to another node.
CobraBitcoin on the other hand is the owner of Bitcoin.org and Bitcointalk. Although his identity is anonymous his control over the BTC community is commendable.
Cobra Bitcoin And His Controversial Tweets
Three years ago, Cobra first surfaced in the cryptocurrency community as the co-founder of Bitcoin.org along with its other co-owner, Theymos. Not much information is available about him except that he is not a developer. But it has claimed that he is a contributor to the Bitcoin Core project.
However, some Core developers say that Cobra’s words are rather contradictory. They do not seem to support their ideologies as before. The Core developers are starting to think that maybe he’s account has been hacked.
Bitcoin Core And It’s Basic Hardware Requirements
His most recent tweet claims that in order to run a full node no specific external hardware is required. People could download Bitcoin Core and very easily run a node. Bitcoin Core full nodes do have some specific hardware requirements. No doubt, it does run on some weak hardware but issues will definitely arise. Firstly the user will require a Windows/Linux/OS operating laptop which must have at least 200GB free space. Secondly, an unmetered Internet connection with high uploading is a must.
