The total value of Ethereum stashed in the ETH 2.0 contract has surpassed $9.5 billion – a new high point has been reached.

The Glassnode analytics firm reports that the cumulative amount of ETH locked (TVL) in the Ethereum 2.0 deposit contract has reached a new all-time high of 3,862,626 coins.

This equates to $9,529,098,342 in US dollars. This is still marginally more than 3.3 percent of the overall Ether supply. This is another significant step forwards for the ETH 2.0 update, which is now in Phase Zero, also known as the Beacon Chain.

The network currently has 120,196 active validators, according to data from the ETH2Validators analytics tool, allowing ETH 2.0 frameworks to deliver 7.58 percent of an annual payout.

On a regular basis, approximately 316 new validators have entered ETH 2.0 during the last week. A total of 24 validators are currently queued.
