Elon Musk’s turned into a crypto influencer

Elon Musk, the world’s richest person and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has posted another tweet about going “to the moon.”

Though this term is often used by crypto enthusiasts to describe rising crypto rates, and Musk has himself sent his favourite Dogecoin to the moon in his tweets, this time he simply tweeted: “Everything to the moon.”

According to the tweet’s remarks, the crypto group interpreted this as yet another effort to shill the meme-coin DOGE, which has risen more than 400% this week. This rally occurred entirely in response to Musk’s tweet on Thursday about “DOGE barking at the moon.”

This resulted in the coin reaching a new all-time high of $0.298. On Friday, the coin re-entered the top-5 ranking on CoinMarketCap for the first time since 2016.

At the time of publishing, Dogecoin is trading at $0.31, making it the seventh most valuable cryptocurrency.

TimTheTatman seeks to buy crypto, asks Musk for guidance

TimTheTatman, a YouTube and Twitch game streamer with 3.22 million followers on YouTube and 2.4 million on Twitter, posted on Musk’s “everything to the moon” tweet, asking for advice on which cryptocurrency to buy.

Musk has not responded to this, and he never gives specific crypto suggestions, restricting himself to foggy tweets about DOGE and sometimes tagging Bitcoin in his Twitter profile.

Earlier this month, U.Today revealed that many analysts advocated for a new form of law that would make it illegal for influencers like Elon Musk to exploit stocks with their tweets.

They said that Musk “can enrich himself in one tweet” and that he had exploited the DOGE, GameStop, and Bitcoin markets.
