The GOAT’s Twitter profile photo now features laser eyes.

Tom Brady, the quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and arguably one of the most promising American football stars of all time, has hinted that he is a Bitcoiner.

Brady updated his Twitter profile image to one of laser eyes on Monday, possibly implying to his 1.9 million followers that he is a Bitcoin investor (BTC). The football star made the move less than a day after Blockworks co-founder Jason Yanowitz questioned him and presented the updated picture.

The crypto asset’s price seems to have been untouched by the NFL player’s phoney announcement. At the time of release, the price of BTC was $57,500, up 8% in the previous seven days. However, cryptocurrency players such as MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor and Anthony Pompliano also noted Brady’s rumoured entrance as a Bitcoiner.

In April, the seven-time Super Bowl champion declared his support for Autograph, a new nonfungible token (NFT) website. The platform will feature big names in sports and entertainment and will serve as a forum for digital collectibles.
