According to on-chain data from Etherscan, the address currently contains approximately 333,500 Ether (ETH), and is now worth $1.029 billion, as ETH has more than quadrupled in value from about $700 at the beginning of 2021.

According to certain online cryptocurrency players, 27-year-old Buterin may now be the cryptocurrency industry’s youngest self-made billionaire.

Buterin has been generous with his crypto funds as rates have risen. The Russian-Canadian programmer contributed 100 Ether and 100 Maker (MKR) tokens to a COVID-19 relief fund for India in late April.
